Legislative Expenditure Reports

Use the form below to search and generate reports on operational and staff expenditures by the New York State Legislature.  The database includes information reported by the state Assembly and state Senate for five six-month periods -- Oct. 1, 2006 through March 31, 2007, April 1, 2007 through Sept. 30, 2007, October 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008, April 1, 2008 through September 30, 2008, and October 1, 2008 through March 31, 2009.

Data Note:
(1) The two houses of the Legislature sometimes use different words and phrases to describe similar expense types.  For example, "bulk mail" in Assembly is used to describe the sort of constituent mailings that can be found by searching for "newsletter" in Senate expenses, while payments to private landlords for district office space can be found under "real estate rental" in the Assembly and "D.O. Lease" in the Senate.
(2) The "vendor" listed under travel expenses for both houses is usually the name of the legislator or staff member receiving travel reimbursement.
