As long as the State is making employees salaries public it should make the names and payment amounts to welfare recipients public as well. After all, the State is paying out those funds.

I totally agree here. I think that as long as payrolls are being posted (which I think is awesome by the way) that the site should be allowed to post how much people receive in welfare payments. Lets be honest, if they are collecting that money as their sole income, it should be available for veiwing. I work to pay them, I would like to see that. You guys do great work, and this site is really an eye opener!

Great idea...NY state has been able to get away with little or no transparency for decades!! Teachers salaries will be examined very closely as property taxes (at least in Nassau County) are OUTRAGEOUS and SCHOOL TAXES are the root cause..Enough is enough folks!! Great website ..thank you for the Info.
